WHY FOOTBALL?

STRATEGIC THINKING + CAMARADERIE

Football is a fun, builds strength, speed, agility, and coordination.

Regardless of your skill level there’s a place for everyone and all genders at LINCOLN YOUTH FOOTBALL.

Flag and tackle programs open to K-8th graders.

IMPORTANT DATES & 2021 SEASON INFO

We have had lots of questions about the schedule and when the season starts, here's a summary:

FLAG

Practice Schedule:

  • 1st practice, Wednesday August 18th, 5-6:30pm
  • Weekly practice every Wednesday night through October. 

Games will start the Saturday after Labor Day and run every Saturday through October. 

TACKLE

Equipment pick up:

  • Sunday August 1st.
  • This is an important time to be there and get properly fitted.
  • New players will want to wear their gear and get use to it before the season starts. 

Conditioning week:

  • Monday August 9th
  • 3/4th grade tackle they need 8 hours of conditioning before they can practice in pads
  • 5-8th grade they need 10 hours. 

Tackle Practice:

  • 4-5 nights a week in August
  • 3 nights a week in September-October. 

Tackle Jamboree for all teams on Saturday August 28th

  • Regular season starts the Saturday after Labor day
  • Games are every Saturday through October. 

Fall is around the corner and Football will be here before you know it, so it’s SO helpful to us if you register ASAP. Payment plans available!

Unlike other sports we start in the summer- before school.

Registering is essential to and stay up to date on everything!

Go to a private school in the district

We compete with matching age-group teams from Portland, Tualatin Valley, and the Salem area. From early August through late October you'll be building relationships and having fun.

GUIDELINES

• Pre-season baseline concussion testing is required for all 7th and 8th grade players.  The Portland Clinic provides testing for a fee of $30. Testing is optional for 5th and 6th graders, but recommended.  Flag and Rookie Tackle players do not need a baseline concussion test.
