LYF Families:
I would first like to thank you all for making this season possible and a successful.
Second, each year TVYFL recognizes those head coaches whose teams display outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season with the Wellnitz Award. This year, Lincoln Youth Football had the second most Wellnitz Award winners in all of TVYFL and they included: Jim Cheadle, Fred Paris and Brian Leitgeb. Congratulations to these outstanding coaches.
Lastly, congratulations to Steve Hoge’s 5/6 Red team and Scott Ritt’s 5/6 Black team for winning the Montavon Pacific and Metro Conference Championships!! These are the first Lincoln Youth Football teams to win championships in the last three years and both teams proved you can have fun, get all the kids involved and win…great job.

The Wellnitz award is the epitome of all awards given by the TVYFL. The winners yearly are given votes from their fellow coaches for sportsmanship, conduct of themselves, team and parents and overall being a good mentor for the youth of their community.
